Between the upcoming World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, the world’s spotlight is on Brazil. The world will not be disappointed.

With a Portuguese-speaking population of almost 200 million, massive Brazil is a country that demands repeat visits. How else to explore the Amazon jungle, learn to surf along the white-sand beaches of Bahia, check out the chic colonial villages of Angra and Paraty, enjoy the splendours of Rio, spot wildlife in the Pantanal, hike among the bucolic coffee plantations of Ouro Preto, and take in the magnificence that is Iguazú Falls.  Fortunately for us visitors, Brazilians are known for their warm hospitality, and it’s never too late to learn how to samba.

Accommodations are as diverse as the sights, but our highlights include the fabulous Fasano in RioHotel das Cataratas in Iguazú, Casa Turquesa in Paraty, and Ponta dos Ganchos in Florianopolis.
